2023 Rank: #28

Industry Experience: 15 Years

Previous Appearances on Power 50: 1

This is Pierre Montaubin’s second appearance on the Counselor Power 50, after having been named CEO last year of promo’s seventh-largest supplier company. He rises seven spots from last year’s ranking thanks to a series of notable moves, including the full integration of IMAGEN Brands, which the Clearwater, FL-headquartered company acquired in 2020. The integration brought increased support and an array of value-added services – including the ability to track orders – to customers, according to Montaubin.

Also of note is an exclusive partnership that Koozie Group inked with Tervis, a drinkware brand that filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in September. Koozie group announced that it would bring the imprinting of all Tervis promotional drinkware in house, extending its ability to full-color inserts and other decoration of the brand’s plastic tumblers.

Sustainability has also been top of mind for Montaubin, who was chief product and sustainability officer at the supplier before advancing to CEO. Koozie Group, which attained CarbonNeutral certification in 2023, released its fourth social impact and sustainability report earlier this year, noting that it had donated more than $200,000 in cash and in-kind donations the previous year and keeping 1.9 million plastic bags out of the waste stream by receiving and shipping acrylic drinkware without them.

“We have our sights set on even more aspirational goals in 2024, and I continue to be proud of our teams and excited by what we can accomplish together,” Montaubin says. Goals include increasing the number of Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions the supplier measures as well as improving its annual EcoVadis assessment score by at least 20 points.
