Enjoying 7.5% growth in 2020, execs at this woman-owned company said its success during the pandemic was attributable to “quickly adapting to the demand for PPE and onboarding our Proforma owners to our ProVision system in an accelerated timeline to allow them to be more efficient and more resourceful.” CEO Vera Muzzillo, when asked about the photos on social media last year during the height of COVID of planes full of PPE for Proforma’s large network of owners and their clients, confirmed the company’s swift and decisive decision to take matters into its own hands. “We had multiple military-style cargo planes full of PPE being brought in to fill the demand of our owners’ clients,” she says, adding that the company’s ability to lean into its technology and pivot to e-commerce at a time when buying online was hitting critical mass was also a differentiator. It bears noting that 12 of Proforma’s owners were named to the 2020 Inc. 5000 list. For 2021, the company’s top goal is to continue to leverage its proprietary business management technology platform to help owners increase productivity and profitability by increasing their efficiencies.
