Top 40 Distributors 2021: No. 7 HH Global

Counselor’s exclusive ranking of the distributors with the most revenue in the promo products market.

HH Global (asi/168860)

The company formerly known as InnerWorkings was officially acquired in October by HH Global, a U.K.-based competitor. The move removed the previously publicly traded InnerWorkings from the NASDAQ stock exchange. With their businesses integrated and revenues combined, the results for HHG on the Top 40 are vastly different from past years, which saw InnerWorkings lose $76 million net income in 2018 and another $10 million in 2019. In 2020, promo sales skyrocketed by over 74%, as the company added an additional $110.7 million in revenue. (All of HHG’s promo revenue, including international clientele, is billed through its North American office.) InnerWorkings’ large 2019 contract with Estée Lauder paid dividends last year, as did bringing on HHG’s legacy merchandise business with Google and T-Mobile. In addition, the company saw significant increases in the alcohol vertical during the pandemic. With $1.7 billion in total global sales and a cadre of other marketing offerings (print and procurement, omnichannel customer engagement, content development and more), HHG isn’t solely reliant on promo sales, but the company’s overall growth ambitions bear watching.
