It was the second consecutive year that annual sales fell for this St. Louis-based supplier, though the decline this year was quite modest – just 1.7%. The company attributed the drop to the inventory and labor issues that have been plaguing both suppliers and businesses all over. Ariel says it’s hoping to resolve its labor concerns by leveraging more production technology. A high note was the Chesapeake Promotional Products Association naming Ariel its Supplier of the Year.
