With a whopping 63% sales jump from 2020, Grand Island, NY-based Starline returns to the Top 40 list. COO Jon Norris, a member of Counselor’s Power 50, points to the company’s “strong inventory levels, the world’s best group of employees, and a strong product line that lends itself well to the pandemic trends of work-from-home and employee retention” as the primary reasons for the company’s impressive revenue increase. Additionally, to mitigate the tight job market, Starline was proactive and implemented strategies such as offering a $2,500 referral bonus, split between the new hire and their referrer.
