With a renewed emphasis on the ASI marketplace, Gildan returns to the Top 40 list. Counselor estimates that Gildan’s North American promo sales increased nearly 17% to $762.2 million last year ($3.24 billion total company sales).

A supplier and a vertically integrated manufacturer of apparel basics, Gildan has continued its industry leadership on sustainability. Evidencing that: Corporate Knights named Gildan one of the worlds’ 100 most sustainable corporations this year and the firm released a disclosure report detailing a number of plans, including reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions 30% by 2030 (compared to a 2018 baseline), sourcing 100% sustainable cotton by 2025 and achieving zero manufacturing waste by 2027.

Total company sales declined year over year on a quarterly basis in Q1 2023, but the publicly traded firm believes that revenue will ultimately rise in the low single-digit percentage range for the full year.
