At the height of the pandemic – when traditional retailers reported cliff-diving revenues – Amazon recorded soaring profits (40% year-over-year in Q2) thanks to homebound consumers ordering everything they needed from the e-commerce giant. Amazon also continued a push into custom print-on-demand goods, recently renewing a financial relationship with high-end direct-to-garment printer manufacturer Kornit Digital. Though the threat of Amazon still causes many in the industry to hold their breath, Bezos drops four spots in this year’s list, since his company hasn’t fully brought its disruptive power to bear in the promo space.
