As the low-key head of Top 40 supplier Evans Manufacturing, Vaught slips a few spots on this year’s ranking. That said, he recently hired a new vice president of marketing & product development, and has continued to offer USA-made products, which have been a boon during COVID-caused supply chain issues this year. In addition, the supplier has incorporated PPE items and expanded packaging capabilities that are in demand. Most recently, Vaught traveled to Nogales, Mexico, to donate 130,000 masks to that city, where Evans operates a manufacturing plant. Showing, by his example, that quiet acts of leadership are no less powerful.
