When Denham stepped into his new role as head of the promo industry’s association, PPAI, 16 months ago, he did so at a time fraught with the lingering effects of the pandemic on business – trade shows and live events in particular – and an increased criticism of promo products as unnecessary items that can exemplify wastefulness. To Denham’s credit, he forged ahead with the PPAI Vegas show in January, which was a welcome sign that the industry was returning to business as usual, and has dedicated PPAI’s resources to proving the power and value of well-chosen and ethically manufactured branded items.
