Celebrating 40 years in the promo industry, Jay Deutsch had a notable 12 months: the Top 40 company he founded with Eric Bensussen in 1984 grew 22% last year to $422 million, and he acquired another international promo firm, top Germany-based promotional products distributor ipm | gruppe – joining other promo companies in France and the U.K. in BDA’s global portfolio. It also gives the distributor a second distribution facility in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), bolstering BDA’s influence in the region and increasing support for new and existing clients. BDA established its first European distribution center in the Netherlands at the end of 2021. Additionally, due to Deutsch’s advocacy and persistence, BDA added two women to its roster of company leaders: Anouk Pape, formerly of Microsoft, as the company’s vice president of global marketing, and industry veteran and former Power 50 member Jill Albers, as senior director of business development.
