While we can train employees and teach them new skills, it’s a challenge to change someone’s personality or attitude,” Esse says. “Once they’re on board, we put in a lot of effort to grow our people through training, coaching and emphasizing teamwork. We try to balance hard and smart work with some fun bonding activities.”
