The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of Laura Ashley London floral dresses for newborns and girls. Petals from the fake flowers clipped at the waist can detach, posing a choking hazard. There has been one report of a flower petal detaching, though no injuries have been reported. No ASI-listed firms were named in the recall.

The Girl’s Floral Clip Dot dresses are 100% woven cotton with a pink multicolor floral pattern, and a set of three pink petal flowers at the waist. Some were sold with a matching diaper cover. The dresses were sold in sizes from 0-3 months through 6X. “Laura Ashley London” and the size are printed on a tag inside the dress. Style numbers 17156300, 17156307, 17156344, 27156300, 27156307, 27156344, 47156300, 47156307, 47156344 are included in the recall. The style number can be found on a tag attached to the inside seam on the side of the dress.

About 2,800 dresses were sold from January through July for between $27 and $40 at Dillard’s stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Dillards.com and Zulily.com. The dresses were manufactured in China, imported by Pastourelle LLC and licensed through Laura Ashley of New York.
