AI’s Role in Marketing on the Rise
Marketers believe artificial intelligence will play a large role in their industry in the coming years, according to a new infographic put together by Adweek. “We’re still at the dawn of AI adoption,” Jean-Luc Chatelain, chief technology officer of Accenture Analytics told Adweek. “Brands have yet to fully understand all the ways in which AI will change the marketing game.” The way AI is used today, for automation and precision targeting, is “just the tip of the iceberg,” he said.
New research from Accenture Interactive shows that a majority of marketers in the retail sector are using AI-driven personalization to drive growth, and 80% of business-to-business marketers believe AI will revolutionize the industry by 2020. Tech-savvy promo firms could certainly stand to capitalize.
Chatbots and AI will save businesses $8 billion a year by 2020, as opposed to the $20 million saved this year thanks to those technologies, according to Juniper Research. More than half of U.S. marketers expect to deploy automated personalized content next year, and nearly 80% of top marketing executives believe consumers are ready for AI.
Marketing leaders around the world believe AI will have a broad impact on their field, according to research from Salesforce. AI will be used to deliver the right message at the right time, to create dynamic landing pages and websites, and to create and deliver hyper-personalized content. It’ll also help with campaign analytics and business insights, reports predict.
