Texas-based Harland Clarke (asi/219943), the distributor behind Walmart Promo Shop and Costco’s promotional products website, has announced the appointment of two executives to its leadership team. Rachel Bergman was named senior vice president of digital strategy and head of data, analytics and consulting. Jeff Lundal was appointed as president of the company’s retail channels division.

Bergman has more than 20 years of experience in marketing technology. Most recently, she served as the head of email services for Valassis, part of Harland Clarke Holdings. She’s also held senior leadership roles at Experian and CheetahMail, Experian’s former email marketing business. “Rachel has significant experience driving digital strategy for some of the most prominent and influential companies,” said Jana Schmidt, Harland Clarke president.

Lundal also has more than two decades of experience. His most recent position was senior vice president of digital prime sales for Oracle, a startup division he launched to deliver Oracle’s cloud application suite to small businesses across North America. He’s also worked as a senior executive at Experian, Responsys and Doubleclick. In his new position with Harland Clarke, Lundal will be responsible for growing relationships with major big-box retailers, software companies, direct-selling associations and franchise organizations. The company expects him to drive growth in its e-commerce, promotional products and check solutions.

“Jeff is a seasoned executive who has built and successfully led a wide variety of technology businesses over the course of his career,” Schmidt said.

In addition to selling promotional products to businesses, Harland Clarke offers payment tools, such as checks and cards, and marketing solutions. Last year, the distributor helped Walmart launch its Promo Shop. Earlier this year, the company worked with Costco to help the members-only warehouse club set up a mobile-friendly website that allows shoppers to customize and purchase a range of products online.
