Warwick Welcomes Fifth-Generation Exec
Alex Paschal has been named project manager.
The promotional products industry has a rich history of family businesses, but few make it to the fifth generation.
St. Charles, IL-based Warwick Publishing Company (asi/95280) has announced the addition of Alex Paschal to its executive team as project manager. The fifth generation of the Paschal family, he has previously worked in the company’s accounting, human resources and pre-press departments during his time at the University of Dayton.
“Warwick has always been a constant in my life,” Alex said in a press release. “Whether I was working part time during summers or just stopping by to visit, there really hasn’t been much of a time where I haven’t been involved with the company. Being the only fifth-generation member is certainly daunting, but I’m excited to finally get involved in my family’s business on a more permanent basis, especially during this crazy time we’re living through.”
Starting in 1881 as a newspaper publisher, the Paschal lineage began with Lina Paschal, who bought the company in 1903. She then sold the company to her nephew — Alex’s great-grandfather — Paul Paschal in 1926. It was under Paul’s leadership that the company began manufacturing promotional calendars and officially became Warwick Publishing.
Warwick is currently owned and operated by brothers Rob (Alex’s father) and Jim Paschal. “Alex has a lot on his plate right now, especially given the current global environment,” said Rob Paschal, CEO of Warwick. “But he has the drive, the initiative and the passion to help us continue to grow this company.”
