McCabe Acquires Promomedia Group
Canada-based McCabe Promotional Advertising Inc. (asi/264901) has acquired Promomedia Group Inc., the companies have announced. Financial terms of the deal, made public this week, were not disclosed.
“Promomedia is a market leader in eastern Canada with a strong team, great regional brand recognition and a motivated corporate culture that meshes intuitively with ours,” said Jamie McCabe, president of McCabe Promotional. “By combining the companies’ strengths and geographies, our new and existing customers will benefit from expanded sales and support capabilities.”
Prior to the Promomedia acquisition, McCabe had Canadian offices in London, Clinton and Toronto, as well as representation from Windsor to Timmins. This new agreement now extends McCabe’s reach into both the Ottawa National Capital Region and Quebec markets. Besides ad specialties, Promomedia is well known in Ottawa for offering graphic design, merchandising programs, embroidery, warehousing and fulfillment. “Promomedia’s bilingual service capabilities and extensive Quebec client base will further enhance McCabe’s service delivery and operating base,” McCabe said in a statement.
Going forward, according to McCabe, Promomedia co-owners Martin Weber and Dan Rochette will now be able to focus greater energy on strengthening The Facilis Group. “Joining McCabe offers tremendous opportunities for Promomedia,” said Weber. “We are excited about the potential the business combination brings to our corporate family and our customers. The closely-aligned business models will allow both organizations to meet their expansion goals by adding new avenues for growth.”
Promomedia’s sales are up 40% year-over-year so far in 2015, McCabe told Counselor. Meanwhile, McCabe Promotional has increased its revenues by double-digits each of the last three years.
