Eau Claire, WI-based Powertex Group (asi/297675) has launched an online custom hat-building service, focused on offering high-quality hats at competitive prices.

PTX Hats, as it’s called, was born from Powertex’s nearly three decades in the branded merchandise industry. “Powertex has developed not only a passion for hats, but a close relationship with its global sourcing partners that have allowed the company to focus on producing the highest-quality goods for its clients,” according to a press release from Powertex.

The new service goes beyond typical options like cap color and simple logo placement. The site lets users choose from structural customization options to custom patches and embroidery. The online ordering platform allows clients to upload their artwork, choose options for customization – all while working closely with a “highly trained hat concierge team” from the proofing stage to shipment. “Their job is to ask the right questions, provide the right answers and ultimately provide you with the perfect custom cap,” according to PTX Hats’ website.

Currently, there’s a selection of 11 “carefully curated” hat styles to choose from on the site, including low-profile and mesh-backed trucker constructions, among others. Each style offers multiple color combinations. Custom-designed front decorations, along with one embellishment on the side or front, are included in the price. Embellishment styles include woven label, embroidery, leather patch, silica print, PVC, multimedia, chain stitch, felt and more. Users can also opt for private labeling or choose to remove the top button of the cap if it’s intended to be used with headphones. Order quantities for the hats are as low as 144 pieces per order, according to PTX Hats’ website.
