Echo Valley Meats Joins Promo Industry

The Bartonville, IL-based supplier made a deal with Mark Cuban on Shark Tank in 2015.

Bartonville, IL-based Echo Valley Meats (asi/51576) has announced that it is entering the promotional products industry as a supplier of meats, cheese, treats and branded YETI products.

Raised in a family-owned meat business, third-generation farmer and cattleman Dave Alwan and his wife, Dawn, founded the company in 1998. Together, they’ve grown Echo Valley Meats from simply a retail operation into a mail-order business, offering employee recognition, corporate gifts and incentives. Appearing on ABC’s Shark Tank twice, Alwan cut a deal with Mark Cuban in 2015.

“Mark was the right partner for our business, and he’s been extremely supportive along the way,” Alwan said in a press release. “In fact, Mark Cuban is not only a business partner, but he and his family are customers as well.”

Echo Valley Meats also works with YETI and can ship meat products in YETI coolers or put a company logo on YETI Rambler tumblers, according to Phil Raso, vice president of sales at Echo Valley Meats.

“We are the first company to make it really simple for a distributor to offer premium brisket, steaks, hams, sausage and other high-quality meats and cheese to their customers,” Raso said. “Our minimums are low, and we can turn around orders in only two to three days. It’s been exciting to get this product line launched.”

Echo Valley Meats’ product line includes prime rib, steaks, spiral-sliced hams, sausages, cheese, mixed nuts, gourmet coffee and other food items. Most products ship from Illinois and can be decorated with a logo. Any product can be shipped in bulk or individually fulfilled to a person’s home or office.
