Enter the Wearables Top Decorator Challenge
Are you eager for the opportunity to show off your decorating skills and see how your shop stacks up against the competition? Do you like prizes? Then, you really need to enter the 2019 Wearables Top Decorator Challenge.
What's the challenge, you ask? We've created a discerning, though fictional, client looking for a top-notch apparel decorator to come up with some creative gear for his latest venture. Here are the deets:
Joseph H. Munch, a local restaurateur with a reputation for opening trendy eateries in your area, is working on his newest project: Forklift, a funky bistro with creative cocktails and seasonal farm-to-table fare. Mr. Munch wants your help in outfitting his wait staff with casual, yet distinctive gear. Forklift already has a logo, which Mr. Munch has provided to you, noting that he’s open to creative interpretation of that logo on employee uniforms. Your job is to come up with a look for servers – consisting of at least two garments worn together that incorporate the Forklift logo.
Wearables editors will choose eight finalists from the pool of entries, and post them for online voting. The winners will be featured in an upcoming issue of the magazine; plus, they'll receive some awesome prizes:
- Grand Prize: a RICOH Ri 100 DTG printer with bundle from AnaJet (asi/16000), valued at $4,950; a $500 gift certificate from Allmade (asi/34341); and a travel prize pack from Hotel Engine and Hertz.
- First Runner-Up: a $500 gift certificate from Allmade; a $250 gift certificate from Madeira USA; and a $250 gift certificate from Vantage Apparel (asi/93390).
- Second Runner-Up: a $250 gift certificate from Madeira USA and a $250 gift certificate from BELLA+CANVAS (asi/39590).
- Honorable Mention: a one-year complimentary ESP license from ASI.
