Roland DGA offers the 64-inch CAMM-1 GR2-640, a large-format vinyl cutter ideal for creating signs, decals, sports apparel and more.

Roland DGA, a provider of large-format inkjet printers, printer/cutters and other digital devices,

has added new 64-inch GR2-640 and 54-inch GR2-540 large-format vinyl cutters to the Roland DG CAMM-1 series. The machines are capable of cutting almost any shape quickly and cleanly from a broad range of materials, including everything from thin automotive films and heat transfer sheets to thick reflective sheets and sandblast masks. The cutters are ideal for signs, decals, window film, vehicle wraps, sports apparel and more.

The GR2 series cutters are designed to integrate seamlessly with Roland’s large-format inkjet printers, using VersaWorks 6 RIP software for seamless print-then-cut production. Contour lines can be added and crop marks generated automatically to imported printing data from VersaWorks 6, ensuring that the outlines of graphics are cut accurately and eliminating the need to switch back from other graphics software to complete production.

“The new GR2 series cutters are uniquely designed to work hand-in-glove with Roland DG printers, making it easier and faster than ever to contour-cut the stunning graphics that come off our inkjets,” said Daniel Valade, product manager of digital print for Roland. “In addition to maximizing productivity, these versatile devices precision-cut an incredibly wide variety of materials, expanding the creative opportunities for users.”

The conveyor air bar from Vastex speeds the cooling of screen-printed and inkjet-printed items as they exit a dryer’s heating chamber.

Vastex International offers a new conveyor air bar that speeds the cooling of screen-printed and inkjet-printed garments, caps, can coolers, umbrellas and hard goods as they exit a dryer’s heating chamber.

“The new conveyor air bar is a simple way to increase productivity of any shop by rapidly cooling and hardening hot ink that is soft or tacky, making printed garments and hard goods easy to fold or package,” said Mark Vasilantone, Vastex president.

The air bar houses tightly spaced mini fans that provide uniform airflow across the printed item and are angled outward to avoid blowing cool air into the heating chamber. Adjustable in width to fit most popular conveyor dryers, it’s also height-adjustable to accommodate thin to bulky textiles as well as hard goods.
