High-Tech Logo-Swapping Hat in the Works
Can’t decide what to wear today? There may soon be a hat for that. Zero Wearables is crowdfunding a high-tech baseball cap that would let the wearer swap out logos in seconds via a connected smartphone app. The ZW HLN will feature a flexible black-and-white e-paper display wrapped around the front of the cap.
Users would be able to pick from a database of licensed content or create and upload their own logos and designs to the app. They could also choose the speed of image rotation and how many images to cycle through. Think of it like wearing a digital billboard on your forehead.
The hats are expected to go into production in the summer of 2017 and would retail for $199. So far, the company has raised nearly $5,000 toward its $25,000 goal.
