Trimark Discusses New Decoration Technique
Trimark (asi/92122), the apparel division of Pittsburgh-based promotional products supplier Polyconcept North America (PCNA), recently began offering a new decoration technique, HXD. We checked in with Alan Meinstein, director of operations of Trimark, to learn a little more about the technique and how it can best be deployed.
Q. Can you tell us a little more about HXD and how it works?
Alan Meinstein: HXD is an emblem created from patented polyurethane materials. The emblems encompass the best of embroidery and digital transfers into one decoration, giving dimension to customer logos that cannot be duplicated with any other method.
Q. Why did you develop this technique?
AM: At Polyconcept, we believe in pushing the boundaries of product decoration to the limit. We are never satisfied with the status quo, and our teams continually monitor retail trends looking for the next great idea. We want to make sure we can deliver the best options to our customers for branded promotional products.
Q. What are some of the benefits of HXD?
AM: The added dimension, levels of detail and overall finish of HXD are unparalleled in the industry.
Q. Which garments work best for HXD?
AM: Most garments in our lineup work well with HXD, but in particular woven shirts, polos, caps and technical outerwear really pop with an HXD emblem. By combining HXD with one of our other methods like laser, the overall branded look on our award-winning garments is stellar.
Q. Which markets and demographics would be most interested in this technique and why?
AM: I don’t think HXD will be confined to any particular market or demographic. It’s one of those methods that will cross all boundaries from financial institutions to the local high school football team.
