EnMart Acquired by TJ Stitch
A husband-and-wife team of apparel-decorating veterans will be taking over distribution of Iris brand embroidery thread in the U.S.
TJ Stitch, a Fairmont, MN-based decorated-apparel company, has acquired EnMart, a supplier of embroidery thread and other apparel decoration consumables. TJ Stitch will become the exclusive U.S. distributor of Hilos Iris brand embroidery thread. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
A note on EnMart’s website shares that March 17 will be the company’s last day of business, and thanks customers for their loyal support over the years. TJ Stitch, owned by husband-and-wife team Jay and Tanya Doyscher, will be taking over control of EnMart starting March 18.
“We’ve been in the decorated-apparel industry for 18 years, and we’re always looki ng for opportunities to better our company for our customers and our employees,” Tanya said.
In a press release, the company said it would continue to offer Iris embroidery thread but will review other items in EnMart’s catalog to determine which make the most sense “to serve the needs of our customers during this challenging time for suppliers in the world.”
Jay Doyscher, in a Facebook post, noted that the EnMart name “will be fading away,” and the Doyschers asked for patience as it transfers the website and social media pages into the new business name. The new website, tjstitch.com, is not yet up and running.
The Traverse City, MI-headquartered EnMart was a subsidiary of Ensign Emblem and was founded in 2006 by Gayle Zreliak. A notice posted on Ensign Emblem’s website explains that the company shuttered effective Feb. 21 and would no longer be taking orders
