Best Big Corporation Gifts

Whether as an employee thank-you or client appreciation gift, these are some of the top gifts we’ve received.

Corporate gifting is an important employee and customer retention strategy. We’ve received many corporate gifts over the years (even before ASI), and we want to share some of our top picks to give you some ideas for your upcoming client calls. Before we get into the gifts themselves, let’s first take a look at how you can pitch gifting programs to your clients.

How to Sell Your Clients on Corporate Gifts

Selling Point #1: Remind your clients that gift recipients feel appreciated, which can go a long way in retaining employees and customers. They also boost employee morale, and employees who are happier tend to be more productive and efficient.

Selling Point #2: Gifting programs are much more cost-effective than hiring a new employee or winning a new customer. Now, we know one gift may not be enough to make an employee stay or encourage a customer to place an order, but on top of other benefits your client offers, gifting is another way to show they’re committed to employees and customers. According to Fast Company, 52% of U.S. workers are considering changing jobs this year, so impressing employees is more important than ever.

Selling Point #3: Branded gifts increase brand recognition, and good corporate gifts are often talked about and/or used long after they’re received, giving the gifting company ongoing exposure. This is especially true for high-end items or gifts from well-known brands (like Yeti, who we’ll get into below). Although these gifts cost more upfront, they’ll do the promotional work for years after they’re gifted.

Gifts We Love – And Will Never Forget

Now, let’s take a look at the best corporate gifts we’ve ever received. And it’s totally okay – you can steal our gift ideas and present them on your next sales call.

Plants – These are fantastic because whether employees are working from the office or from home, they can spruce up their space! Plus, some of these gifts come with a pot and seeds for recipients to grow their own plants. Any time you tie activity to a gift, it’s instantly more memorable. And if your client is worried about green thumbs, artificial plants can be a nice option too.

Gift Cards – We know, we know … some people say gift cards aren’t personal, but we disagree. After receiving Starbucks and bank gift cards (which we could use anywhere), we’ll never forget the companies who gave them to us. Gift cards allow the recipient to get something they want, which we think is as personal as it gets.

Snack Boxes – Look, we love our snacks – and we’re not ashamed of it! We like how these gifts can be used at home or the office. Plus, your client can opt for savory, sweet or a combo of both. Also, there are other types of food gifts besides snack boxes that your clients may like. Anything chocolate gets our vote.

YETI Tumblers – The YETI brand is well-known and respected, so the second we received this tumbler, we were in love. Tumblers like YETI are fantastic because they appeal to everyone, whether they drink coffee, tea or water, so your client doesn’t have to worry about personal preferences. Most of these products also come in a variety of trendy colors, so your client can easily match their brand.

Custom Luggage – Ideal for your clients with a traveling salesforce, custom luggage is a win. We were surprised but so happy to receive this, and we were able to put it right to use on our next work trip. Be sure to pitch this to any company in the travel or event planning industries, as well as companies that have sales incentive trips.

Cup Warmer & Wireless Charger – We can’t go anywhere without our coffee and our tech, which is why this combo cup warmer/cooler and wireless charger is a dream come true. Tell clients who really want to stand out to consider outside-of-the-box ideas like this one. In general, promo gifts that do more than one thing are likely to leave a great impression. Of course, knowing your audience is important too, so if your client’s customers aren’t that into tech, it wouldn’t make sense to send them this. Help your clients brainstorm the best gifts for their intended audience.
