For the third year in a row, Geiger UK, part of Lewiston, ME-based Counselor Top 40 distributor Geiger (asi/202900), has been awarded Platinum status by EcoVadis.

“A Platinum award status is a great testimony to our business, our team and our culture,” said Vicky Kinasz, managing director of Geiger International. She added that this year the company achieved its highest score ever, earning 90 out of a possible 100 points in its sustainability rating.

EcoVadis is a leading collaborative platform for sharing sustainability data between businesses. The assessment covers four pillars: environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. To achieve Platinum – the highest rating – companies must score 78% overall across all pillars. Geiger’s overall 90% score puts it in the top 1% of businesses reviewed by the platform.

Earlier this year, Geiger’s UK-based Firebrand Promotions, acquired by the distributor in 2023, also received a Platinum rating from EcoVadis. The company’s Lewiston, ME, headquarters has a Gold ranking from EcoVadis.

With 2023 North American promotional products revenue of $330.3 million, Geiger ranks ninth on Counselor’s most recent list of the top distributors in the industry.
