PCNA Partners With Cap America
The deal involving two Counselor Top 40 suppliers has PCNA offering select styles from the Missouri-headquartered headwear provider.
Two Counselor Top 40 suppliers have formed a new partnership that they say will benefit promotional products distributors.
Polyconcept North America (PCNA, asi/66887), promo’s fourth-biggest supplier, is now offering 10 headwear styles from fellow Counselor Top 40 firm Cap America (asi/43792). The headwear, which includes beanies, low-profile curved bills and structured mesh back trucker hats, is available in more than 220 color options, the companies said.
“I am very proud to partner with Cap America, a significant new addition to our product lineup,” said Liz Haesler, PCNA’s global chief merchandising officer. “Cap America has a stellar reputation in the industry. Every order is handled with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the delivery of top-quality service and products.”
Sarah Burgin, chief operating officer at Cap America, described the partnership as a win for both firms and their clients.
“This collaboration provides PCNA customers with a streamlined invoice solution for Cap America headwear and the rest of PCNA’s impressive product line,” Burgin said. “PCNA’s commitment to quality products and superior service aligns well with Cap America’s values, further enhancing the strength of this partnership.”
Through the partnership, distributors ordering Cap America styles will get free embroidery digitizing, no setup fees and flat rate run charges, executives said.
They’ll also benefit from deep inventory, decoration production capacity that includes 550 Cap America embroidery heads and minimums as low as 15 pieces for premium styles and 24 pieces for other styles, all of which can be shipped within three to five days of approval, according to PCNA.
PCNA noted that partnering with Cap America aligns with ProudPath, the firm’s sustainability and corporate social responsibility initiative. Cap America invests in local educational initiatives, donates to local organizations, and implements measures to reduce its carbon footprint, the companies shared.
“By joining forces with Cap America, we are not only expanding our headwear collection but also strengthening our commitment to social responsibility and excellence in the promotional products market,” said Haesler.
PCNA, which has more than 2,200 inline products across hard and soft good categories, has made partnering with other brands a key part of its strategy. The firm has steadily announced new such partnerships in 2024, including with a line of athleticwear designed by MLB great Derek Jeter, UNTUCKit Founder Chris Riccobono and professional ballerina Misty Copeland.
Reported 2022 North American promotional product revenue of $857.3 million was good enough to put PCNA in the top five of the industry’s largest suppliers, according to Counselor’s most recent Top 40 rankings. Cap America, based on 2022 North American promo revenue of $76.8 million, was 23. The new rankings come out this summer.
