2019 Hot List: Tiffany Anderson, Dri Duck Trader
Like many women today, Tiffany Anderson finds a way to balance being a wife and mother with a full-time job, but not just any job. Anderson is corporate channel manager for over 200 wholesale sales reps for Dri Duck (asi/50835) where she’s worked for the last 12 years. She often travels “everywhere and anywhere” to provide sales tools and sit in on distributor calls, working to get reps comfortable selling the workwear and outdoor lifestyle brand.

What’s it like being a young woman selling a heavily male-focused line of apparel? “I love a challenge,” Anderson says. “I sometimes go into meetings where there’s some difficulty, personality wise. If someone doesn’t show me respect I love proving them wrong. It takes a lot of confidence to convince that audience that I’m the expert. With a little humor and humility and just being myself, I usually crack that code.”
Relationship building and inspiring reps with strategies to grow their business is the essence of Anderson’s role. “You have to get creative and help them understand where the opportunities lie,” says Anderson, a proud Kansas State University grad. “Buyers want more unique, functional, name-brand options at a fair price. My goal is to help people think ‘outside the jobsite.’ I sell an awesome product that I’m passionate about. It shows when you can share that passion with your reps and you see the light bulbs go off.”
Outside work, Anderson is loving life with husband Morgan and 2.5-year-old Miles. “I never thought I would be cut out to be a parent, but I’m actually pretty good at it,” says Anderson. “Although the ‘terrible 3s’ haven’t hit yet, so maybe ask me again in a few months.”
