Last year’s list marked the first time that business partners and friends Michael Scott Cohen and Jon Alagem were named to the Power 50, after starting their Manhattan-based distributorship together in 2014. The company has gained notoriety for its roster of major clients and buzzy campaigns – including designing and launching the Chick-fil-A Originals Collection late last year after a long time pursuing the popular quick-serve restaurant chain. The complementary skills of Cohen (sales) and Alagem (design) are paying off big; the pair were named Counselor’s 2023 Distributor Entrepreneurs of the Year as they continue to grow and position Harper + Scott on the leading edge of major trends. “We can compete for any RFP,” Alagem told ASI Media this summer. “We’ll continue to grow in a smart and strategic way and be an elite company in our space.” The accolades, growth and positive influence scores from its Power 50 brethren cause Cohen and Alagem to move up seven spots on this year’s list.
