Minnesota-based Taylor Corporation, the parent company of Top 40 supplier Taylor Promotional Products and Top 40 distributor Amsterdam Printing (asi/121500), has announced it will acquire the assets of Staples Print Solutions, a division of Staples Inc.

The deal for Staples Print Solutions, which does not involve Top 40 distributor Staples Promotional Products (asi/120601), is expected to close within the coming month. The assets will officially be acquired by Taylor Communications Inc., a subsidiary of Taylor Corporation that the company formed after acquiring Top 40 distributor Standard Register through Standard Register’s bankruptcy proceeding last year.

We are honored that Staples would look to Taylor Communications and entrust us to continue to provide service to their customers and employees. This pending acquisition broadens our ability to provide a full range of print and digital communication solutions, customized to serve our customers’ marketing and business needs.”

Pending closure of the deal, Staples Print Solutions will go to market under the Taylor Communications name.
