The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall on thousands of infant caps. Made in China and imported by Sock and Accessory Brands Global, the John Deere-branded caps featured a button on the top that can detach, posing a choking hazard. To date, no injuries have been reported. No ASI-listed firms were noted in the recall.

The baseball caps are gray in color and have a green tractor design on the front. The caps were sold in one size (infant 6 to 12 months). Style number “JSH721HF” and manufacture date 11/2016 are printed on the sewn-in care label inside the back of the caps.

About 14,500 caps were sold in the U.S. – and 50 more in Canada – at Tractor Supply Company and farm and ranch stores from January through March of this year for between $10 and $16. Consumers are advised to take the caps away from young children immediately and contact the firm for a full refund, including the cost of shipping.
