The St Regis Group, parent company of 10 industry suppliers, including St Regis (asi/84592), R.S. Owens (asi/75530) and Mi Pen Company (asi/71033), has announced the planned relocation of its U.S. headquarters to a new facility in Chicago. The purchase of the 180,000-square-foot site – located a few minutes from O’Hare International Airport – will be finalized this week and will centralize production, warehousing and administration at one location.

“It made sense from a customer service, production and fulfillment perspective to centralize our U.S. operations under one roof,” said Richard Firkser, president and CEO of St Regis Group, in a statement. “When completed, the much larger facility will offer significant economies of scale and synergies for our manufacturing and decorating operations, allowing us to provide an even better experience to our loyal customers.”

St Regis’ two existing facilities in Indianapolis and Chicago will remain fully operational until the new site opens, which is expected by the end of this year. All affected St Regis Group employees have been offered positions in the new facility, the company said.
