Top 40 distributor HALO Branded Solutions (asi/356000) has named Dan McEntee Senior Vice President of Global Sourcing. Most recently president of industry supplier Golden Pacific (asi/55549), McEntee will report to Executive Vice President of Business Development Jim Stutz.

“Our global sourcing has increased substantially the past year with several key acquisitions that focus on large, highly competitive factory-direct client projects,” said Stutz. “Dan’s expertise with product development, product integrity and overseas sourcing will support our efforts to remain competitive in this market niche.”

Prior to joining Golden Pacific in 2016, McEntee worked in a variety of leadership positions at Top 40 distributor Staples Promotional Products (asi/120601). McEntee will be working out of HALO’s just-completed new corporate headquarters in Sterling, IL. He said he is excited to join the team and get to work. “I will focus on large, complex sourcing and distribution solutions for HALO’s key clients in the promotional and recognition markets,” McEntee said.

In a statement, HALO executives noted that the distributorship’s trade supplier relations, which address more than 90% of HALO’s total promotional purchases, will continue to report to Senior Vice President of Marketing and Supplier Relations Terry McGuire.

With reported 2016 North American promotional product sales of $282.3 million, HALO ranked 5th on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest distributors in the industry. The new list is due out in July.
