HPG Partners With Nomatic and Pladra

The Top 40 supplier will be selling products from the retail brands through its HPG Exclusive line.

HPG (asi/61966) has been busy.

About a week after the Top 40 supplier announced that it’s now offering fresh food through its Batch & Bodega food gift line, HPG revealed on Tuesday, April 13, that it’s adding apparel and travel products from two innovative retail brands: Nomatic and Pladra.

The styles will be available at one-piece minimums, with 48-hour production times, and every order will include an optional gift message. The supplier will sell Nomatic and Pladra through its HPG Exclusive line, which launched in February.

“Through our HPG Exclusive line, we’re only interested in offering the best-in-class brands that break the mold of what’s expected from a corporate gift perspective, and both Nomatic and Pladra offer that experience and represent a modern standard of feature-rich gear that’s really a cut above anything else out there,” said Jason Lucash, HPG’s chief development officer.

Founded in 2014, Nomatic is a Sandy, UT-based company that specializes in what HPG described as travel products that prioritize quality and function. Nomatic’s offering through HPG Exclusive will include a range of items from its Navigator and Original Travel series, including backpacks, carry-on luggage, travel packs and functional accessories. In Canada, HPG subsidiary Debco will sell Nomatic.

HPG says travel products like this from Nomatic offer innovative design and functional elements.

“We’re so excited to bring Nomatic to a new market, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with HPG in doing so,” said Todd Switzler, Nomatic’s director of sales. “Nomatic and HPG are aligned in our passionate desire to bring game-changing products to the market; innovation is at the core of all we do, and we’re looking forward to entering the promo space with a like-minded partner.”

Meanwhile, California-based Pladra specializes in creating what HPG described as functional and stylish flannel shirts, which are designed to work as both durable wear for outdoor activities and everyday apparel. Made in San Francisco, the machine-washable shirts are 100% cotton flannel, with design elements that include outdoor liners on the cuffs, collar and back yoke.

Pladra’s flannel shirts include cuff liners featuring nature scenes.

Founder/CEO Jeff Ladra said the objective in founding Pladra was to create an ideal flannel shirt for an outdoor lifestyle – one that marries the durability and craftsmanship of the classic flannel with a more modern fit and unique plaid patterns.

Available in both men’s and women’s styles, in sizes from XS-3XL, Pladra’s initial offerings through HPG Exclusive will include options from its Every Day, Sequoia and Cascade lines.

“We are incredibly excited to offer our line of men’s and women’s functional and versatile shirts to a new market through our partnership with HPG,” said Ladra.

With reported 2019 North American promotional product revenue of $205.7 million, HPG ranked ninth on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the promotional products industry. The new list is due out in the summer of 2021.

Promo supplier companies that are part of HPG include Hub, Beacon, Best, Debco, BCG Creations, Origaudio, Handstands, HPG Exclusive, Batch & Bodega and Webb Company.
