Proforma’s Annual Convention Will Be Live
The Top 40 promo distributor is holding the in-person event in August.
Proforma is going live.
The Top 40 promotional products distributor will hold its annual Convention and Family Reunion as an in-person event at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, FL, from August 8-11.
Proforma (asi/300094), headquartered in Independence, OH, said the event’s theme will be “Together,” a nod to the fact that Proforma employees, owner-affiliates and partners will be coming together as a group following more than a year of social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“With the increased access to COVID-19 vaccines and the shift to lessen strict protocols on travel and quarantine bans, as well as precedents being set for live events currently being conducted, the organization made the decision to offer an in-person convention this summer,” Proforma said in a statement. “While some considerations may be made to allow for streaming or virtual attendance to accommodate those still unable or unwilling to travel, the event is planned to include the same dynamic energy, education, networking and celebration as it has in years past.”
Proforma held a virtual company-wide event in early April 2021. The decision to have a live event in the summer was made after careful consultation between executive leadership and Proforma’s Owner Advisory Council, which consists of Proforma owners elected to regional representation by peers, company officials said.
“It will be exciting to have our member owners, sales representatives, support staff, supplier partners and special guests come together in one location to celebrate the achievements of the individuals, as well as the organization, over the past year,” said CEO Vera Muzzillo. “This year’s convention will also be a celebration of resilience and perseverance.”
“We are extremely excited that Proforma has decided to hold its Annual Convention and Family Reunion as a live event,” said Rachel Zabala, co-owner of Proforma Key Solutions in New Orleans. She’s also a member of Proforma’s Multi-Million Dollar Club.
“It will be a welcome interaction on the heels of the challenging COVID-19 quarantine and gathering restrictions,” Zabala continued. “It will provide us all with the valuable, socially distanced networking we so desperately need and allow us to solidify powerful relationships that will help us overcome our recent challenges.”
Proforma ranks fourth on Counselor’s most recent list of the 40 largest distributors in the industry. That’s based on 2019 North American promotional product revenue of $501 million. The new rankings are due out in July 2021.
