Visstun No Longer Actively Selling in Promo

The supplier is supporting promo customers still, but is no longer pursuing business in the market.

Visstun is calling it a day on its operations within the promotional products industry.

The Las Vegas, NV-based supplier, which is part of the sister companies of Digispec and CounterPoint (asi/49716), has announced that it will continue to support promotional products distributors but will no longer actively seek business in the $20.7 billion promo industry.

Instead, Visstun, which makes cups and containers, will focus its energy on what it described in an email to customers as the “significantly larger” food packaging market.

Business meeting overhead view

“As Visstun’s Food Packaging Division grew over the years, we made several changes to our scheduling and products that were disadvantageous to the promotional market,” the company said in the email. “Primarily, lead times increased with the implementation of run schedules and minimum order quantities expanded. As a result of these changes and additional required changes, we feel we cannot adequately meet the service and delivery requirements the promotional industry needs to work effectively.”

Visstun noted that its products will no longer be available on industry product search databases, including ESP. Come May 15, the VisstunPromo.com website will go offline and the Visstun.com website will redirect to Visstun’s Food Packaging Division website.

Joe Davis, director of sales and customer service at Digispec and CounterPoint, told ASI Media that Digispec and CounterPoint will continue to operate in promo and will “not be materially affected by this change.”

The Visstun email elaborated: “One major consideration for this change is the desire to provide the excellent service and lead time you’ve come to expect from Digispec and CounterPoint. This change enables us to maintain this service level for our legendary mouse pads and durable counter mats.”

Digispec specializes in mouse pads, while CounterPoint’s forte is mats. The company won a 2021 Counselor Distributor Choice Award for mouse pads.
