Reciprocity Road Awards Grant to Forrest Spence Fund

The promo industry collective builds giving back into its mission.

Giving back and doing good is central to Reciprocity Road’s mission.

The collective, a partnering and buying group of 10 promotional products distributors, made good on that pledge recently by supporting Chattanooga’s Forrest Spence Fund.

Each quarter Reciprocity Road donates a grant to a deserving organization. For the second quarter of 2021, the Forrest Spence Fund received the $500 donation.

Forrest Spence assists with the nonmedical needs of critical or chronically ill children and their families throughout the Mid-South. Since 2015, the nonprofit has helped more than 73,000 families throughout the region. In addition, the Forrest Spence Fund has helped institutions more than 20,000 times and awarded more than 200 grants.

Melissa Nanney, a client success specialist with Flywheel (asi/212986), a distributor that’s part of Reciprocity Road, nominated the Forrest Spence Fund to receive the grant. It’s not the first time Nanney has supported the organization.

“The Forrest Spence Fund reached out to Flywheel in need of branded coolers last year for their annual ‘No Show Ball’ in Chattanooga,” she said. “We were compelled by their mission and decided to donate the coolers for their event to help support their mission.”

In all, Reciprocity Road has donated $7,000 in distributor local nonprofit grant contributions.

Reciprocity Road’s 10 distributors have more than $230 million in projected gross revenue. Firms must do at least $10 million in sales to join the group, which describes itself as “allies in vision, smart marketing, philanthropy and purposeful partnerships.”
