TikTok Partners With Canva and Vimeo
The partnerships have led to new offerings that could benefit marketers in the promo industry and beyond.
In a move that could benefit marketers in the promotional products industry and beyond, TikTok is teaming up with Canva and Vimeo.
TikTok asserted that the just-announced partnerships will help small businesses advertising on the short-form video-sharing social network in two main areas – ad production and creative.
Vimeo is a software-as-a-service company that specializes in providing tools and a platform for creating, hosting and sharing videos. Now, small businesses on TikTok will be able to utilize Vimeo Create, an AI-driven video production tool that empowers advertisers to produce and publish ads directly into the TikTok Ad Manager.
TikTok and Vimeo also collaborated on developing custom video templates exclusively available in Vimeo Create, optimized for TikTok.
“TikTok is a vital channel for reaching and converting customers online, but for SMBs that are limited on resources, video is often too complex and expensive to do well. Vimeo Create fundamentally simplifies the process of creating professional-quality content at scale,” said Richard Bloom, senior vice president of business development at Vimeo.
Bloom continued: “In teaming up with TikTok and integrating Vimeo’s best-in-class tools, we’re empowering every business — regardless of their budget or size — to grow with video.”
Meanwhile, ad creation options on TikTok have strengthened, the company said, thanks to the addition of more than 50 TikTok ad templates that are now part of the library of Canva, a graphic design platform used to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other visual content. The partners said the templates make TikTok content creation easier, reducing cost and creation time relative to what they would be to make the ad from scratch.
Canva’s ad templates, combined with TikTok’s Publish End Points tool, will enable creators to publish visual content directly to TikTok.
“We’re incredibly excited to be integrating with TikTok and levelling the playing field for content creators and small-business owners to develop really authentic, engaging and visually compelling content with Canva’s simple platform and ever-growing library of templates,” said Kate Marsden, Canva’s partnership marketing lead.
Some small businesses are already leveraging the TikTok partnerships. In a case study provided by the social network, Angela Caglia Skincare, a skincare and beauty tools company with fewer than 10 employees, said that it lacked the budget, technical skills and marketing knowledge to create consistent, creative content prior to using Vimeo Create.
“A video ad that would have previously taken weeks of planning, writing, scheduling and editing can now be accomplished in a matter of hours, saving both time and money, the two most precious resources for any business,” said founder Angela Caglia.
