4imprint Predicts $1 Billion in Revenue in 2022
The forecast comes after the Top 40 distributorship announced that its total global half-year sales reached $515.54 million, a 58% year-over-year increase.
4imprint (asi/197045) is on track to become a billion-dollar distributorship.
During the first six months of 2022, the Top 40 promo products firm increased revenue 58% compared to the same period the prior year, tallying total global sales of $515.54 million, according to a company financial report released Wednesday, Aug. 10.
The performance, if matched or surpassed in the back half of 2022, would see 4imprint reach its long-held goal of surpassing $1 billion in annual revenue.
While acknowledging economic challenges like potential recessions in key geographic markets could slow growth, 4imprint Chairman of the Board Paul Moody believes the company will achieve its aim of becoming a business with 10 figures in yearly sales in 2022.
“Trading momentum in the first few weeks of the second half of 2022 has remained encouraging,” said Moody. “The board remains very confident in the (company’s) strategy, the strength and resilience of its business model and its competitive position.”
An e-commerce-driven publicly traded company, 4imprint is headquartered in London, U.K., with its main base of operations in Oshkosh, WI, and the vast majority of its sales occurring in North America.
From January through July 2, 2022, 4imprint’s North American sales were $505.86 million, a leap of 57%, the financial report said. In its other key combined markets, the United Kingdom and Ireland, 4imprint increased revenue nearly 90% year over year to $9.68 million.
It wasn’t just the topline that was impressive, either.
4imprint’s after-tax profit in the first half of 2022 reached $33.37 million – a meteoric 1,204% rise over the profit performance during the comparable six-month period in the previous year.
Gross profit was $147.94 million, up year over year from $95.61 million, while operating profit totaled nearly $44 million, a rise from $3.6 million. Both basic and diluted earnings per share came in around $1.18, another 1,204% increase from the 2021 period.
4imprint noted that it processed 886,000 orders in the 2022 half-year. That compared to 616,000 orders in 2021 and 778,000 in 2019 – the last full pre-pandemic year. The firm also acquired 146,000 new customers in the first six months of 2022, as “marketing efficiency led by increasing proportion of brand awareness (produced) market share gains and (strengthened) the business for the future,” the company said.
“Customer demand,” said 4imprint, was “at record levels.”
With reported 2021 North American promotional product revenue of $773.7 million, 4imprint ranked second on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest distributors in the industry.
