Charles River Apparel to Donate Portion of Sales to Breast Cancer Research Foundation
The charitable initiative from the Top 40 supplier started Aug. 1 and runs through the end of October.
Charles River Apparel (asi/44620) doesn’t just want to sell clothes; it wants to make a difference.
That’s why the Sharon, MA-based Top 40 promo products supplier is pledging to donate 10% of net sales from several of its most popular pink items to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
The charitable initiative will run from Aug. 1 through Oct. 31, 2022. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Charles River Apparel has pledged a donation of at least $10,000 with a maximum donation of $20,000. The total donation will support BCRF’s 250 researchers across 14 countries and five continents. Founded in 1993, BCRF is the largest private funder of breast cancer research worldwide.
“Breast cancer is close to our hearts, and we are grateful for BCRF’s leading efforts in advancing breast cancer research,” said Deb Lipsett of Charles River Apparel. “They are truly making a remarkable difference in the lives of so many individuals and families, and we feel fortunate to be able to give back to such an important cause.”
Eligible Charles River Apparel giveback products include select pink shades of the following styles: Space Dye Performance Tee, Women’s New Englander Rain Jacket, Crosswind Quarter Zip Sweatshirt, Pack-N-Go Pullover, Camden Crew Neck Sweatshirt, and Women’s Newbury Asymmetrical Snap Sweatshirt.
“We are thrilled to have Charles River Apparel join the BCRF partner family,” said BCRF President/CEO Myra Biblowit. “By supporting the largest private funder of breast cancer research in the world, Charles River is making a genuine and tangible impact on moving lifesaving research forward, faster.”
In 2010, Charles River Apparel founded Charles River Cares, the company’s charitable giving program. Through employee volunteerism, fundraising events, and in-kind as well as monetary donations, the company gives back in a variety of ways. “While this is the first collaboration between Charles River Apparel and BRCF, supporting cancer research and wellness programs isn’t new for us,” the company said.
Based on reported 2021 North American promo product revenue of $42 million, Charles River Apparel ranked 38th on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry.
