29-Year-Old Shayna Cohen Named CEO of $22 Million Distributorship
Her father and uncle started Team SCG, a Florida-headquartered firm that has quadrupled sales thanks to strategic and technological innovations spearheaded by the talented Cohen, the company said.
Shayna Cohen may have been born to be a promo CEO.
Some of her earliest memories are of packing boxes with branded products to help out at the family run distributorship that her father and uncle, Barry and David Greenberger, founded in 1988.
Nearly a decade ago, the now 29-year-old formally started working at Team SCG (asi/315978) – and her entrepreneurial acumen quickly became clear. Thanks to efforts she has spearheaded to streamline the company through strategic and technological integrations, Team SCG has quadrupled in size, with 2022 annual revenue tallying $22 million, executives said.
Given that track record of success, along with a leadership style that’s rooted in collaboration and empowering employees, Cohen has earned a promotion to CEO of the Sunrise, FL-based firm, the company founders said.
“We could not be more confident to turn over the reins to Shayna,” Barry and David Greenberger said in a joint statement. “She has always led by example, has an incredible work ethic and continues to amaze us with her use of youth and creativity alongside our longevity and experience.”
Barry and David hold the titles of president and chief financial officer, respectively. Cohen’s brother, Joshua Greenberger, is chief strategy officer at the company that has so far grown sales about 30% in 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.

‘Empowering Other Women’
“I could not be more humble or proud to be given this chance to continue the legacy of my family’s business,” said Cohen. “Without our team and their unwavering dedication to our success, all of this would be meaningless. I especially want to thank my brother, who has walked this path beside me every step of the way. Without his involvement, I would not have been as successful in our growth efforts.”
In announcing Cohen’s appointment, Team SCG emphasized that she is the company’s first female CEO – and that she’s making the big move to chief executive while pregnant with her first child, a boy. Cohen and the company hope that fact serves as an inspiration to other women in the promo business and beyond.
“Shayna has a passion for empowering other women with untapped potential and developing them to rise to growth opportunities,” the company said in a statement. “Her appointment sends a powerful message to not just our industry, but to women across the workforce. She hopes to continue to prove that women can and should be given equal opportunities to lead and succeed in the business world.”
