4imprint Predicts It Will Generate About $1.3 Billion in Revenue in 2023
Executives at promo’s largest distributorship also said in an Aug. 1 trading update that profit before tax will be no less than $125 million.
The largest distributorship in the North American promotional products industry says it’s getting bigger.
A publicly traded company, Top 40 distributor 4imprint (asi/197045) said in an Aug. 1 trading update to investors that its total global revenue for 2023 will rise to slightly above $1.3 billion. Profit before tax for the year will beat the current consensus forecasts of analysts and not be less than $125 million, executives said.
“This favorable profitability dynamic results principally from revenue growth combined with a strengthened gross margin percentage and strong returns on marketing investment,” David Seekings, chief financial officer at 4imprint, said in a statement.
If the predictions hold, 4imprint will have increased revenue and before tax profit on a year-over-year basis in 2023. In 2022, 4imprint’s total global revenue was $1.14 billion and profit before tax was $103.7 million.
4imprint offered the insight into its projected annual financials in advance of the announcement of its half-year results on Aug. 9. That more-detailed report is expected to include information on total revenue for the first six months of the year, net income, operating cash, earnings per share and more. The firm noted that year-to-date order intake is up 18% so far over the same period in 2022.
“We expect to announce a strong first-half performance in revenue, profitability and cash,” said Seekings.
4imprint is headquartered in the United Kingdom, but has its main operations in Oshkosh, WI. The distributorship generates the vast majority of its sales in North America.
4imprint, which drives business through its ecommerce model, ranked first on Counselor’s just-released 2023 rankings of the 40 largest distributors in promo based on 2022 North American industry revenue of $1.12 billion. The company made history by taking the top spot on the list in a year in which the Top 40 featured billion-dollar distributors for the first time.
