Missouri-based Cap America Inc. (asi/43792) and Canada-based DML Creation Inc. (asi/48038) have formed a broad long-term alliance, the companies have announced. Terms of the agreement, made public on December 6, were not disclosed, but the companies said in a release that both firms “will contribute certain assets and resources.” Going forward, Cap America and DML Creation will continue to operate as separate companies.

“The relationship with DML represents a powerful opportunity for Cap America,” said Mark Gammon, president and COO of Cap America. “We share the same vision of providing our customers with leading product options for all headwear needs.”

Among the goals of the deal, according to the firms, is to enhance “DML’s position in the industry while significantly expanding Cap America’s reach into Canada’s high-growth market.”

“Our mutual future growth in Canada will be the result of two great companies working together to gain market share while innovating and paving new roads,” said Ron De Moor, co-founder at DML Creation. “This is very exciting.”
