Proforma Is Launching A New Technology Platform
Top 40 distributor Proforma (asi/300094) is debuting a new business management technology platform that aims to provide its network of affiliate owners with “powerful business insights, metrics and efficient order entry.” In announcing the January pre-release of ProVision2 on Tuesday, Proforma executives said that the Ohio-headquartered firm has poured more than $10 million over the last three years into developing the platform.
“The goal for ProVision2 is to make our owners the most successful in the industry by allowing them to sell more and make more money in less time,” Vera Muzzillo, Proforma’s CEO, said in a statement. “Our team has worked hand-in-hand with our owners and supplier partners to create a system that builds strong businesses, while providing efficient processes and powerful metrics reporting.”
According to Proforma, nearly 10% of its annualized sales are already run through ProVision2. The distributorship said that owners who have been using the system for the past year, all of which belong to Proforma’s Million/Multi-Million Dollar Club, have reported a more than 20% increase in annualized sales and a more than 17% rise in gross profit margins, which tallies up as 6.5 points. “Bottom line is ProVision2 empowers us to easily increase sales and gross profit while decreasing overhead costs,” said Mike and Gidget Tracy of Proforma Brand Proformance, which belongs to Proforma’s Multi-Million Dollar Club.
According to Muzzillo, ProVision2 drives results through streamlined workflow processes, improved system integrations and real-time business reporting, all of which creates a 360-degree view of an affiliate owner’s business. Proforma plans to host VIP presentations on ProVision2 for qualified industry professionals at The ASI Show Orlando (Jan. 3-5) and other locations in 2019.
With reported 2017 North American promotional products revenue of $368.9 million, Proforma ranks fourth on Counselor’s latest list of the largest distributors in the industry. While the firm’s sales were essentially flat the previous two years, executives have said that they expect “explosive growth” following the launch of ProVision2.
