Alcom Printing Acquires Christmas City Printing
Both companies are based in eastern Pennsylvania.
Harleysville, PA-based Alcom Printing Group, Inc. (asi/116310) just made its third acquisition since 2017, purchasing Bethlehem, PA-based Christmas City Printing Co. (CCP), company leaders announced Tuesday, Dec. 8. Financial terms were not released.
Alcom provides promotional products, print, direct mail and more. Company principals further detailed that solutions include commercial sheetfed and web lithography, digital printing, wide format printing, print-on-demand and other services, all helped along by workflow technologies that facilitate online ordering and inventory management, while reducing print obsolescence.
Alcom President/CEO Don Eichman said that buying CCP made good sense for both his firm and the acquired company.
“The attraction of Christmas City due to its location in the Lehigh Valley (a Pennsylvania region) and half-sized printing capabilities will enable Alcom’s full-size customer base flexibility and needed cost structure for smaller print runs,” Eichman said. “CCP will now have access to a much broader spectrum of services and throughput for the larger needs of its customer base.”
CCP will become a division of Alcom, but will continue to operate under its own name, as will Alcom. CCP will maintain its manufacturing facility in Bethlehem “for the foreseeable future,” Eichman said. “Alcom’s commitment to investing in future technology and its loyal employees will bring additional resources and value to our loyal client base,” asserted Paul Sicinski, president of CCP.
Within the last several years, Alcom has also acquired Great Atlantic Graphics of Lansdale, PA and Payne Printery of Dallas, PA.
