PSI Düsseldorf 2022 Rescheduled to April
Organizers cited the ongoing pandemic in their decision to move Europe’s largest promo products trade show, originally scheduled for January.
PSI Düsseldorf, Europe’s largest promo products trade show, is being rescheduled for 2022, moving from January to April. Show organizer RX, formerly Reed Exhibitions, said the postponement is in response to developments with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The new show dates will allow exhibitors and visitors alike more time to plan safely for the event, according to RX.
“Pandemic developments across Europe are affecting planning for trade show organizers, exhibitors and visitors alike,” said Petra Lassahn, director of PSI, in a press release. “The new wave of cases is causing major uncertainties among both exhibitors and visitors.”
The new dates for the 2022 show are April 26 to 28 at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre.
More than 50% of the exhibitors and visitors who attend PSI are international, many of them coming from beyond Europe, according to organizers. The 2022 show was meant to be “a big reunion after challenging times,” Lassahn said. COVID-related travel restrictions are affecting the industry and PSI’s more than 350 exhibitors, she added.
“The postponement from January to April was decided in close consultation with our exhibitors and partners, as well as promotional product distributors and consultants,” Lassahn said. “We are guided by the market needs.”
RX hosts 400 events in 22 countries and 43 industries. It’s part of RELX, a global supplier of data-based analysis and decision-making tools for professional and business customers.
In 2021, PSI was held digitally in May, bringing together roughly 3,500 advertising professionals from nearly 70 countries to tune into 20 hours of live videos and check out products from around 120 exhibiting companies.
