More M&A: Bergman Incentives Acquires Get Attention Promotions
Bergman’s CEO said the move represents another step in an ongoing plan by the distributorship to strategically grow sales and expand its geographic footprint.
It’s another strategic acquisition for Bergman Incentives.
The Omaha, NE-based promotional products distributor announced this week that it has acquired Get Attention Promotions (asi/344333), a distributorship based in Hudson, WI. Financial terms of the deal were not released.
Former Get Attention Owner Bill Peters, a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, has joined Bergman Incentives as a sales associate. Peters founded Get Attention in 2008 after a career spent largely in the meat industry.
“We are thrilled to welcome Bill Peters and Get Attention Promotions to our family,” said Mike Battershell, president and CEO of Bergman. “After successfully serving key clients for nearly 15 years, Get Attention Promotion’s expertise is a natural fit with Bergman’s client-focused, brand-centric approach. This acquisition continues to fulfill Bergman’s strategic initiatives of adding to our growing list of enterprise-sized clients, as well as expanding our geographic footprint in the Central U.S.”
To Battershell’s final point: In 2019, Bergman Incentives acquired The Adwood Company, a Lincoln, NE-based distributorship. Executives at Bergman, which also has offices in Kansas City and promo pros in seven states, said at the time that acquiring Adwood would help the firm serve a larger geographic area while providing better service to current clients.
Bergman Incentives says it has a history that stretches back to 1888, spanning five generations. The company has clients across the globe, including members of the Forbes 100 and the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing companies, executives said. Bergman specializes in branding/marketing services, company stores, fulfillment and distribution from its 23,000-square-foot headquarters.
Said Peters: “Bergman Incentives’ reputation for industry-leading client support combined with innovative technology solutions will bring our clients a level of service we could not have provided on our own.”
