ASB Hosts National Sales Conference
The event strategically coincided with the ASI Show Fort Worth.
American Solutions for Business (asi/120075) says its ongoing goal is to help its sales partners achieve greater success.
That’s why the Top 40 promotional products distributor recently hosted a five-day annual sales conference that featured everything from professional education and networking, to a trade show and recognition of top performers. Held in Fort Worth, TX from Feb. 1 to 5, the annual sales conference was strategically positioned to coincide with the ASI Show Fort Worth, a promo products trade show. More than 350 ASB sales professionals attended the distributor’s conference.
“We had a jam-packed schedule for our attendees and vendor partners,” said Dana Zezzo, ASB’s vice president of marketing, vendor relations and events. “Everything our team does is aimed to help inspire new ideas, create exposure and build stronger relationships between everyone involved. That’s how you grow sales.”
The conference included a 5K run/walk event that raised more than $5,100 for the United Way of Fort Worth. There was also a session featuring insights about the state of the promo industry with industry leaders, which included ASB executives, ASI’s Senior Vice President of Editorial and Marketing Services Andy Cohen, PPAI CEO/President Paul Bellantone and others.
Meanwhile, ASB held vendor education workshops, and recognized salespeople, associates and vendor partners with awards. Nearly 100 individuals received the President’s Club Award, which recognizes those who’ve made top contributions to ASB’s headquarters/home office. Other awards included recognizing individuals and sales teams that exceeded $1 million in sales. Forty-two individuals/teams made ASB’s Million Dollar Club, for instance.
Among other education opportunities and events, the distributorship hosted ASB Expo, a trade show that featured more than 160 vendors. The event allowed for sales associates to meet one-on-one with team members from ASB’s Minnesota-based headquarters.
Activities at the ASB conference also included fun social events, such as a Feb. 2 Super Bowl party at River Ranch Stockyards where ASB headquarters personnel, sales associates, vendors and guests networked and watched the game. “We can’t wait to start planning for our next conference with even more new ideas to help benefit our sales associates and vendor partners,” said Zezzo.
With reported 2018 North American promotional products revenue of $190.6 million, ASB ranked 12th on Counselor’s latest list of the largest distributors in the industry.
