Sanders Tops Nevada Bumper Sticker Poll
Nearly 30% of respondents said they’d be willing to put the Vermont senator’s bumper sticker on their car.
Following Pete Buttigieg’s previous two wins in ASI’s recent bumper sticker polls, Bernie Sanders is set to take first in the Nevada Primary on Feb. 22
ASI Market Research recently surveyed a sampling of 400 Nevadan voters and asked which Democratic candidate’s bumper sticker they’d be most willing to put on their car, the third round of such polling in a month. Almost three out of 10 people (28.9%) said they’d choose Bernie Sanders, followed by Amy Klobuchar (20.5%) who’s narrowly trailed by Pete Buttigieg (20.3%), the winner of the previous two polls in Iowa and New Hampshire. Joe Biden, Mike Bloomberg and Elizabeth Warren rounded out the top six.
According to Nathaniel Kucsma, executive director of research and corporate marketing at ASI, Sanders’ support is strong among women from ages 18 to 34, and among men ages 18 to 64, with significantly high scores among males ages 25 to 34. Klobuchar did well among women over 65, and Buttigieg with women from 55 to 64.
While Buttigieg won the Iowa and New Hampshire bumper sticker polls, he only managed to pull off a primary win in Iowa on Feb. 3. Sanders took top spot in New Hampshire on Feb. 11 and, if this most recent survey is any indication, looks well-positioned to do the same in Nevada later this week.
The Nevada bumper sticker study was fielded from Feb. 13 to Feb. 16 by ASI Market Research using the Google Consumer Survey network. A total of 402 valid responses were counted in the single-question poll.
