“PromoStandards has been a growing force within the industry, hitting its stride over the past few years,” said Ashley McCune, president of Facilisgroup and a PromoStandards board member. “We recognize that we have a responsibility to ensure that we continue to support and unite the technologists of this industry through collaboration and free, open standards.”

To better serve its growing membership, PromoStandards has announced the launch of two key initiatives this year: PromoStandards U, a series of virtual education sessions held each month, and an annual in-person technology summit.

“As the industry’s only open standard and independent technology voice, we are doubling down on our education efforts to benefit the industry tech community,” said Jon Norris, co-founder of PromoStandards and chief operating officer at Starline USA Inc. (asi/89320).

PromoStandards U classes will be hosted live on the third Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. ET. The Feb. 15 class, open to the public, will be on the topic of service provider offerings. Register for the free class here. Upcoming topics in the series, some of which will be restricted to members only, include best practices in configured purchase orders, getting started with PromoStandards and a Beta preview of Order Status 2.0.0.

The PromoStandards Technology Summit + Hack-a-thon event will take place this fall in Tampa, FL. Questions about the upcoming event or PromoStandards in general can be sent to the board of directors at admin@promostandards.org.
