HPG Launches Zero Waste Box for Recycling Pens, Pencils & Markers

The Top 40 supplier has partnered with TerraCycle and will be hosting a livestream education session with the company to discuss its mission to “eliminate the idea of waste.”

Top 40 supplier HPG (asi/61966) wants to trash the idea of trash.

The Braintree, MA-headquartered firm recently partnered with TerraCycle to create a Zero Waste Box for recycling pens, pencils and markers. TerraCycle, a company that’s on a mission to rethink waste, accepts many product categories that municipal recycling centers cannot, giving them a second life by transforming the items into things like playgrounds, benches and shipping pallets.

HPG (asi/61966) recently partnered with TerraCycle to create a Zero Waste Box for recycling pens, pencils and markers.

“We’re proud to join forces with TerraCycle, offering a sustainability solution that redefines our industry,” said Jing Rong, HPG’s vice president of supply chain and sustainability. She added that in addition to the recently launched Zero Waste Box, HPG is “eager to offer more waste stream products in the near future.”

As part of its partnership with TerraCycle, HPG will be hosting a livestream educational event on Thursday, Feb. 29 at 1 p.m. EST on YouTube, to talk about TerraCycle’s innovations and how the Zero Waste Box itself acts as a promotional product diverting waste from landfills.
